The Heaven Shop by Deborah Ellis
I think that this book helped me learn about the condition that people in LEDCs live in. This showed me reality.
The Paper Bag Game!
I am looking forward to the game. I think that it will be challenging and fun to learn about how people survive in LEDCs.
Describe the course in one sentence:
We should have this as a regular subject instead of humanities!! We learnt about the world and how people survive on less than $1 a day.

LEDC Farmer Game Response
What are the challenges faced by farmers in L.E.D.C's?
There are many challenges from bankruptcy to death of a family member. Farmers in LEDCs face many problems and are unable to know before hand or handle situation thanks to lack of communication to rural areas in the country. This can happen when supplies, medicine and basic needs are not being able to reach villages and small towns.
What are the barriers to development that they face?
The barriers that they face are lack of education, no long-term planning, lack of food, lack of water, no proper infrastructure, no proper shelter, disease, bad weather which leads to bad crops, which leads to less money gotten from selling crops. Poor people - or less privileged people - are stuck in the cycle of poverty without anyway out. Basically the shock factors.
In what ways are farming and poverty linked to development?
Farming and poverty are linked to development because sometimes, poverty and bad farming will lead to less money, which can stop the money from going to development and instead to immediate needs like water, food and shelter. The farmer will be thinking about basic needs instead of long-term planning like education and transportation.
